United numerous friends and families through India's most beloved game. Since its inception, we've awarded daily prizes totalling 90K.
Ideation
We commenced by comprehending the offline Tambola gameplay and rules, engaging in
brainstorming sessions to tackle the challenge of digitizing the experience.
Benchmarking
Following the ideation phase, we conducted market research and competitive analysis
on Octro Tambola, one of the most downloaded (5 million+) mobile games.
Pain Points
while we played the game and went through the comments
on play store we have noted down a few observations.
Conclusion
Both hands required - Horizontal gameplay kept users both hands busy,
not user-friendly to play with just one hand/thumb
Visually busy - Many colours makes the design visually busy
and users are not able to focus on the gameplay

Defined the basic journey that can be built on for User friendly experience
Visual language
We began exploring possible palettes, styles, colours that are suited for the product.
Final Design
The final design made in such a way we can change the colours via admin panel for quick customisation.
The design is very unique and less busy so users can focus on game-play.
We launched Tambola for various festivals and integrated with various brands.
Millions of users played Tambola for many days in a row.
Challenge
Without changing the gameplay accommodate the Tambola
ticket along with all the claim buttons in portrait mode.
Action
Worked on many wireframes to make it simple so that users
can handle the device with one hand and still play the game.
Result
Millions of users playing the game every day.
And we are distributing Prizes worth ₹ 90k daily!
